Looking for ethical French bulldog breeder

Hi! I’m looking for an ethical Frenchie breeder (please hold comments about this not existing)

I’ve been in communication with one breeder for a while now. I want to make sure he is not a BYB. Here’s a snippet of our convo. He was suggested to me by a friend with an amazing frenchie. She got the suggestion from a neighbor with two great frenchies. Thoughts?
